A People's History: The American Experiment on Stage

As communities across the nation commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States, A People's History: The American Experiment on Stage explores theater's role in telling the country's story. Drawing primarily from the McNay's Tobin Collection of Theatre Arts, the exhibition features maquettes, set and costume designs, and artwork from iconic productions including Hamilton, Hair, Hairspray, The Mother of Us All, In the Heights, and more.

Exclusive to Parton and Visionary Circle Members, this special after-hours event offers the opportunity to mingle with fellow members while enjoying a glass of wine and light refreshments before an engaging tour of the exhibition.

The tour will be led by Remus Moore, The Tobin Theatre Arts Fund Assistant Curator, The Tobin Collection of Theatre Arts, who will share insights into the exhibition's themes, featured works, and the ways theatrical design has shaped interpretations of America's past.

Guests should enter through the AT&T Lobby and gather in the Octagon before the tour begins in the Lawson Print Gallery.
